Film Critique

The setting of this movie was at Pink Apartments. Coraline wanted a better life than she already had. One day she found this door and found this perfect world just for her. Later she realized that the mother in the perfect world wants to sew buttons to her eyes so she can kill her. The theme of the film is to be thankful for what you have because it could be worse. You could get buttons sewed into your eyes. This film is a good teaching tool for kids who think their lives are bad. The music was great how it adjusted to the mood of the characters' actions. Character development is being used. Coraline starts out really sad about her life and how it's not fair. And she ends the film with gratefulness and happiness. The strengths of this films was the story line and the theme. The weakness was it may have been a little too scary for little kids.

First Quarter Test

It was when I was eight years old when I saw the house. I was in Glouster, Ohio to visit my dad. I like Ohio because you can walk around at night and not worry about somebody maiming you. Anyway, as I'm walking, I see this raven just looking at me. Being the naive eight year old that I was, I tried to catch it. It flew away so I followed it which ended me up at the Winchester's house. It was dark and the house was under police investigation because whoever rang the doorbell on that house was going to be killed by The Lady in Red. In 1875, a women named Rose was going on her usual food run. she was wearing a white dress and white shoes. She would go from house to house selling food that she made herself. She soon arrived at a beautiful, grand, yellow house. She thought that they would surely have the money to buy what she was selling. She ran the doorbell and suddenly a trap door opened underneath her. She got knocked out from the fall. When she woke up she was in a metal container shaped like a bull. Then she heard wood crackling like from a fire. Then the bull started to get very hot. Smoke was all around her. She was bleeding all over her beautiful white dress. When she was close to death she heard a woman say," Fifty-two down, nine thousand nine hundred forty-eight to go." The reason the women is called The Lady in Red because she has taken so many lives.

Custom Vehicle Creative Director

The Blellow Navigator can overcome any obstacle. Whether it be weather or lack of confidence to get a girlfriend. Mother Nature is jealous of the wonderful piece of machinery.

Custom Vehicle Senior Director

I named my ride The Blellow Navigator. It can fly, drive, shoot missiles, and make a loud noise. This is The Blellow Navigator.

Royal Taco Logo Creative Director

This is the Royal Taco for Creative Director. All I did was delete the eyes, mouth, eyebrows, and pupils by deleting the layers. Then, I went to the crown layer and hit command t for free transform. I did this to move the crown and to enlarge it. You can still tell that it is the Royal Taco logo because there is still a crown on the taco.

Royal Taco Logo Senior Designer

This is the Royal Taco logo for senior director. What I did was use the magic wand tool to select parts of the taco logo to make it white. I changed the background to black by using the magic wand tool, selecting it, and just used my paint bucket. I had to keep the eyes, crown, eyebrows, and mouth black so you can still see the logo.

Royal Taco Logo Junior Designer

I used symmetry in my logo. To use other's ideas legally, you have to personalize it. What you do is make it a line drawing in advanced search, then you color it the way you want. You cannot reuse images that are already colored.

It is important to save selections that way you can have a guideline for your comic strip layout. I used the brush on mostly every single pixel that way I could get the best possible result. As you can see I was rushed in the last couple slides. Im a little slower than the rest of the class on photoshop I will admit. Honestly I don't think I used anything from the article.

I laid the poster out like I did because I wanted everyone to see Thor. Everything got complicated when I needed to add everyone else in. The tell you the truth my sketches had nothing to do with this. At first it was until I saw Thor and the background, then this idea hit me.

Eddie the Donkey

Tools that would've made my movie poster better would be the hue and the magnetic lasso tool. The blending would have also made it better. There are many tools that I don't know that probably would have made the poster better.

The color I chose was red because danger excites me. Every time I go to Ohio, I go to the woods to find snakes. You could call it courage or just plain stupidity. Now lets get back to the assignment, the reason I have a red UAV is because one of the things I want to be when I grow up is a UAV pilot. The CIA emblem is on there because that is another thing I want to do. Hence the whole danger and courage thing. The heart because I want to be an interventional cardiologist.  Now the crown, the car, and the fire. The crown is worn on a king. My mom's maiden name is Angie King. The car because I have always wanted a lambourghini. Finally, the fire because it gives me energy, it makes me feel alive. If I'm around fire, I could run for along time.

Animals, Initials, Masking, and Textures

My animal is a bird. I came up with it by trying different combinations of my initials. I tried to make an animal from Z and C. Since I couldn't come up with an animal using only two letters, I used my initial. After two or three minutes I finally created an animal using my initials. The Z is the wing of the bird, the C is the head, and the T is the spine and tail. I learned how to use the type tool, the brush tool, the move tool, masking tool, transform tool, and layers panel. I would like to try to make more animals because this activity made me think and it was a lot of fun.
